One Customei account can own many Shopify shops. This is useful for multi-region storefronts, test environments, or brand families that share design work.

Add a shop

1

Install Customei on the new shop

From the other store’s Shopify admin, install Customei from the App Store — just like the first install.
2

Sign in with the same email

During the post-install flow, sign in with the email that already owns your Customei account.
3

Confirm linking

Customei notices that the email already has an account and offers to link this shop to it instead of creating a new account. Click Link.
After linking, the new shop shows up in Settings → Shops with its own Shopify domain, billing status, and sync health. Every template, option set, and library in the account is immediately available to the new shop.

Switch between shops

Use the shop switcher in the top bar (near your account avatar) to change which shop you’re working on. Most pages are account-scoped and don’t change when you switch, but shop-scoped pages — Products, Orders, Storefront settings — reload to show the selected shop’s data.
Design work is shared; sales data is per-shop. If you find yourself hunting for an order that should exist, double-check which shop you’re currently viewing.

What’s shared vs per-shop

ResourceScope
TemplatesAccount (shared across every shop)
Option setsAccount
Libraries (clipart, fonts, assets)Account
Custom componentsAccount
CreditsAccount (one balance for the whole account)
Billing planAccount
ProductsShop
OrdersShop
MockupsAccount (but can be shop-scoped via filter)
Storefront widget configShop
Account-scoped resources mean a template you build once works on every shop. Shop-scoped resources follow the store they were created in.

Disconnect a shop

1

Open Settings → Shops

Pick the shop you want to remove from the list.
2

Click Disconnect

Customei shows a confirmation with the number of products and orders that will be unlinked.
3

Confirm

Customei detaches the shop from your account. The shop’s product links and storefront widget config are removed; your account-level templates and option sets stay intact.
Disconnecting is non-destructive for shared resources. You can reconnect the shop later (or connect a replacement shop) and the same templates will be ready to use.
Uninstalling Customei from a Shopify store is different from disconnecting it here. Uninstalling the app is a Shopify-side action and also disconnects; disconnecting from Customei without uninstalling leaves the app installed but inert — use it when you want to pause Customei on a shop without forcing a full reinstall later.
