Everything you do with templates starts from Design Templates in the sidebar.
Create a template
Click Create template. Customei asks you for:
- Name — shown in the listing and on the editor titlebar. Rename any time.
- Canvas size — the working area in pixels. Match it to your product’s print size (for example, a 12 oz mug wrap is roughly 2400 × 1000 px at 300 DPI).
Click Create. Customei opens the template in the editor with an empty canvas.
Don’t over-think canvas size on your first template. You can change it later from template settings without losing layers.
Duplicate a template
In the listing, hover the template you want to copy and pick Duplicate. Customei creates a new template with all layers copied and (Copy) appended to the name.
Duplicating is the fastest way to create a family of related products — think “the same artwork in three sizes” or “the same layout with different brand colors”.
Rename
Hover a template and pick Rename. The name change is instant; existing links from products and option sets keep working.
Archive (move to trash)
Deleting a template moves it to Trash. It’s gone from the listing but not yet destroyed — you can restore it for as long as it’s still in the trash.
If the template is currently linked to a product, archiving will leave that product without a working personalization flow. Reassign the product to a different template first.
Restore or purge
Open Design Templates → Trash. Each entry has:
- Restore — puts the template back in the active listing with all its layers.
- Delete forever — permanently removes the template and its layer data. Can’t be undone.
Search and filter
The top of the listing has a search box that matches on name. For larger accounts, combine search with the status filter to narrow down quickly.
