Smart guides
While you drag a layer, Customei looks for alignment with:- Canvas edges — left, right, top, bottom.
- Canvas center — horizontal and vertical center lines.
- Other layers’ edges and centers.
- Equal distances — when three or more layers can be spaced evenly, Customei shows a distance indicator.
Keyboard nudging
With one or more layers selected, the arrow keys move the selection 1 pixel in the corresponding direction. Hold Shift for a 10-pixel step. Nudging is the fastest way to align to an exact coordinate after an approximate drag.Manual alignment
With two or more layers selected, use the Align buttons in the Properties panel (or right-click → Align):- Align left / center / right — horizontal alignment.
- Align top / middle / bottom — vertical alignment.
- Distribute horizontally / vertically — equal spacing between three or more layers.
- Center on canvas — aligns to the canvas center regardless of other layers.
Rulers and guides
Turn on rulers from the toolbar (or press R). Drag from a ruler edge to create a guide line — a persistent alignment aid that other layers can snap to. Guides save with the template and appear in the editor for the whole team. Guides don’t render on the storefront or on print files.Precise numeric positioning
When you need exact coordinates, skip the canvas entirely:- Select the layer.
- In the Properties panel, type the exact X, Y, Width, Height, or Rotation.
- The canvas updates as you type.
