Two buttons live on this tab, and both are one-way. They are separate things: one stops paying, the other removes Customei from your store. Go to Preferences and open the Danger zone tab.
The Danger zone tab showing a Cancellation section with a Cancel plan link and an Uninstallation section with an Uninstall link, both highlighted.

Preferences, Danger zone. Two actions, both confirmed before anything happens.

Stopping your subscription

Cancel plan ends your paid subscription. You are asked to confirm first, and Keep plan backs out. What happens:
  • You keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is switched off the moment you click.
  • After that, the paid features stop.
  • Your work stays where it is. Templates, option sets and folders of images are not deleted by cancelling.
  • You can subscribe again at any time from the pricing page.
The button is greyed out if there is nothing to cancel, for example when you are on a free plan or you already cancelled.
Cancelling does not remove the app from your store, and it does not touch your product pages. If you only want to stop paying, this is the only button you need.

Removing the app

Uninstalling is two steps, and the app can only do the first one.
1

Clean up in Customei

Click Uninstall here, read the box, and click Confirm and cleanup.
The Confirm uninstallation dialog reading This will cleanup your shop data stored by the app. This action cannot be undone, with Cancel and a highlighted Confirm and cleanup button.

The confirmation. Nothing happens until you click the red button.

2

Remove it in Shopify

Go back to your Shopify admin, open Apps, and remove Customei there. Until you do this, the app is still installed.

What the cleanup actually removes

It removes the records Customei stored inside your Shopify store. Those records are what your theme reads to show the questions on a product page, so once the cleanup finishes, your live product pages stop offering personalization. It does not empty your Customei account. Your design templates, option sets and image folders are still there.
This cannot be undone, and it takes your live personalization down straight away. Only use it when you really are leaving. It is not a way to fix a product page that is behaving oddly.
If a product page has stopped working, publish the option set again first (Assign products and go live), or write to support. Cleanup is not a repair tool.
